Short Speech on Mother’s Day in English

First of all, I would like to greet all the respected teachers and my dear students. I will deliver a speech on Mother’s day. Mothers are a gift from God. No one can deny the love and affection that is being shown by mothers. The national day to pay tribute to all the mothers around the world is celebrated in the second week of March.

Mothers show unconditional love to their children and to protect them they cross every barrier in their life. This day was first celebrated in the western world where children used to visit their mothers in old houses.

Just always think of the pain your mothers face from the time of your birth to your growth, education and all other essential stuff. She leaves her stuff and tries to provide the best to her children. Never doubt the love of a mother. So mother’s day emphasizes on the rights of a mother.

Now, this day is almost celebrated all over the world. Children give surprise gifts to their mothers. They quit their work on this day and spend all the time with their beloved mother. It’s a way to thank your mothers for all the work she did in your life.

We often forget to admire the sacrifices she has done throughout her life of motherhood. Sometimes we even ignore them thinking that we have grown up now and I got the right to ignore someone like our mother. But she never reciprocates our behavior. She always loves us with all her heart no matters what kind of behavior we offer to them. So, it’s our duty to behave more decently and responsibly with our mother.

She is the reason you are in this world and everything precious you received is because of your mother. For me and I’m sure for everyone else her smile is the most precious moment and stuff. Everyone feels completed and relaxed in her presence and there is no substitute for it. Every luxury is left behind due to this bond. Child-mother bond is inseparable. It’s one of the purest bonds in the world. It cannot be replaced by any other relation. I hope you liked my speech.

Thanks!
