On this planet if somebody loves us more than our parents then it’s our grandparents. I’m sure everyone present here agreed with my statement. Good morning respected teachers and fellow students. As we all know today is 8’september which is celebrated as grand parent’s day. On this auspicious occasion I got the golden opportunity to stand in front of you and give a speech on grand parents day.
From narrating us different stories to teaching us moral values. From saving us from parent’s scold to make us realize our mistakes. From being our first best friend to our first teacher in real life. The best cook, best advisor , best mentor, best person In family and most importantly the biggest reason to make us capable enough to be a good human. Grand parents always being a blessing to us. No matter how old are we? For them, we are always a kid.
The way seed grows and becomes a tree similar task has been done by our grand parents. They are the seed of family tree. They are the most experienced and skillful person in family. In some families, they are decision maker too.
This is 21st century and technology has made things easier and convenient. Somewhere it has affected relations too. Being the Senior most of the family they are not much physically active. Many families don’t value them and let them stay idle in the room or send them in old age home. Unfortunately, rare families are attached to there grandparents. Rare people prefer to keep their digital world apart and spend time all together as a family.
According to me, there should be no particular day to make our grand parents feel special. Being the most senior of family and for those unlimited sacrifices and adjustment for us they deserve unconditional love and respect every day. In the last of my speech, I just want to say grandparents are the god of family. Start spending time with them and try to return that unconditional love given by them to you.
