Thank You Speech by Teachers to Students on Teachers’ Day

Thank You Speech by Teachers to Students on Teachers’ Day

Teachers’ day is a propitious occasion for all the students as well as their teachers. More often, students are seen delivering speeches in the honor of their teachers and expressing a goodwill gesture towards them. But how about a thank you speech by the teachers to the students on this Teachers’ Day? Doesn’t it sound that unusual? Even though it does, but it isn’t extraordinary at all because these days even teachers come forward and make their students feel special and acknowledge the fact that without them their profession would become uncalled-for. It is because of the students that their profession is looked upon with so much of respect and regards.

Thank You Speech by Teachers to Students on Teachers’ Day 1

Respected Principal Sir, Fellow Teachers and My Dear Students – Warm Greetings to all of you!

First of all, I would like to thank the teachers, especially the Principal Sir for giving me this opportunity to deliver the speech today.

It is a very special day our school celebrates every year. Today is 5th September and this day has a special respect in my heart, as 20 years ago, I had joined this school on 1st September and four days later the school celebrated Teachers’ Day and I was invited to deliver the speech.

After 20 years, I am standing again when the school is the same; teachers and staffs are more or less the same; only the faces of students change every year. While it gives us immense pleasure to share that the students depart from this school leaving a great memory in our mind and heart; it also gives a pinch of pain for getting separate from them.

Well, I am not going to be emotional today as today is the day of celebrations. First of all, I would like to thank all the students and organizers for organizing such a lovely event. I am sure you all know the history of Teacher’s day and why it is celebrated on 5th September. Actually, on this day, Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was born in 1888; he was a great Philosopher and Scholar who later became a great Professor/Teacher. He also became the Vice President and later the President of independent India.

Though this day is celebrated as the Teacher’s Day every year, but this year, I would like to dedicate this entire day and the celebrations to our dear students. Through this platform, I would like to thank each of my students for giving me so much of respect and consideration in the manner a child would care for his parents. I am very fortunate to have such special relations with my students. I would also admit that I get upset sometimes and become strict with you all, but that is only to stop you from getting deviated. The school is the foundation or the first step to the path of your success; so I want each one of you to achieve the greatest success in your life.

This year our students represented our school at the National Level for the first time where they won three Gold medals and two Silver ones. This is a very proud moment for all of us and I would like to especially thank all those students who have spared their precious time in practicing as well as studying.

On this day, I would like to appeal to each student that you must always engage in extracurricular activities. Studies must be your priority, but you should not stop enjoying your life. You must engage in at least one hobby whether it is Sports, Quiz, Art, Music, Drama, Painting, etc. and always pursue your interests as it will help you achieve more in life.

All the best to all of you!

Thank You

Thank You Speech by Teachers to Students on Teachers’ Day 2

Respected Principal Sir, Fellow Teachers, all Staff Members and My Dear Students – Warm Greetings to one and all!

First of all, I would like to welcome each participant on this day and thank you for being a part of our celebration. Like every year, this year too, we are celebrating this event, which has a special significance for everyone especially all the schools. Today is 5th September and this day is celebrated as the ‘Teacher’s Day’ across the nation every year. 5th September is actually the birth anniversary of the great Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, who was a great scholar and teacher. He was also a renowned philosopher and statesman and the first Vice President of the Independent Indian Republic and the second President of the country in between 1962 to 1967.

I would like to thank all the students for organizing this event in such a grand manner. This day is very important in the history of our school as our school was established on this day, 30 years ago. Since then, we have taught several students and they have passed out from our school and are established on highly respectable positions in renowned companies today. We have also encountered the time when some students did not achieve the result as per the expectations, but one thing had always remained constant, i.e. the student’s dedication towards their studies and goal.

Through this platform today, I would also like to thank our students for showing interest in extracurricular activities like Dance, Sports, Music and Art. At the present, our students represent our school on the National Level which is highly appreciable.

When I joined this school 10 years ago, I was very apprehensive about the way the students would accept me. But I am glad to say that students of this school are very sensible, prudent and full of respect and admiration for their elders. We teachers sometimes become excessive strict and scold you when you don’t perform as per our expectation.

I would like to share today that we have high expectations and hope from each one of you. I also assume that you can understand why we become strict sometimes and we expect you to behave appropriately all the time. Your parents and guardians have a lot of trust in our school and they expect you to bring name, fame and accolades to them. Out of several schools, they have chosen this school and want you to excel in your respective field as Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan did.

I would also like to thank everyone for coming today and for making this event a great success. Students of our school are very dear to us and we have achieved a remarkable position in the state today because of their dedication towards studies and the outstanding results they have been achieving year after year.

This is a great platform for me to thank each student today and I expect you to continue performing in the same manner for today, tomorrow and forever.

All the very best for your life,

Thank You!

Thank You Speech by Teachers to Students on Teachers’ Day 3

A very Good Morning to the Principal Sir, Fellow Teachers and My Dear Students – Warm Greetings to all of you!

We have assembled here to celebrate the most sacred day that keeps a special place in our hearts and minds, i.e. the Teacher’s Day. Every year, on 5th September, we assemble in the ground and pay tribute to the legendary Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, who was born on this day.

Dr. Radhakrishnan was one of the greatest teachers of the Independent India, the first Vice President and the second President of our nation. On the Teachers day every year, schools across India pay tribute and honor to the hard work put by the teachers in constructing the future of their students.

Through this platform today, I would like to thank my students for giving me so much of love, care and respect. Also, I would take this opportunity on behalf of the entire school’s administration and the teacher’s association to thank each of the students for organizing the event in such a grand manner. I have been also observing the students spending extra hours post school preparing for the celebration and thank them for their extra hard work.

Since ages, teachers in India have been given a high respect and teacher’s day is an opportunity for the students and the teachers to thank each other. I am not saying that we are the perfect creature on this earth as we may also have some faults and weaknesses. Therefore, it is important for the teachers to never stop learning as there is always a scope to become better.

Different schools organize teacher’s day event in different manners. In some schools, students dress up as their favorite teachers and take sessions in the classes specially assigned to them and the teachers imitate students and listen to their lectures silently. While, this gives us an opportunity to remember our school days, it is also an opportunity for the students to understand the challenge teachers face at that position. This day offers a healthy interaction session between the students and the teachers. I prefer interacting with each student of my class and ask them to share their constructive feedback with me.

We have always organized the Teacher’s Day event in fun filled manner and all the credits go to the students of our school. Though the list of events is passed by the school authority but the entire preparation is done by the students. This also showcases the talent of our students; they are extremely joyful and wonderful as they manage a smart strike between their studies and the extracurricular activities.

Through this platform, I would also like to share that each one of you is expected to perform your best in your exams and bring name and fame to your parents and your school; it is also important for you to pursue your interests in other fields such as Sports, Dance, Music, Art, etc. which will help you develop your overall personality.

All the best for your future,

Thank You!

Thank You Speech by Teachers to Students on Teachers’ Day 4

Respected Principal Sir, Dear Colleagues, Fellow Teachers and My Dear Students – Greetings to all!

Thank you for gathering here; today is a very special day for all of us as we have assembled here to celebrate the annual Teacher’s day at our school.

First of all, I would like to thank our honorable Principal Sir for allowing the students and teachers to celebrate this day with so much of enthusiasm.

It gives me immense pleasure to stand here today and thank all the students who have organized this entire event. Teachers have a very special place in the heart and minds of the students since times immemorial. Teachers were called as ‘Guru’ in earlier days and were given respect equivalent to the god. Though time has changed now, I am proud to see that the teachers are still being honored in the same manner like they were in the earlier times.

Every school in India celebrates Teacher’s Day and students find it a special day to thank their teachers for their support. The event is celebrated on 5th September every year since 1962. The birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan’s is celebrated as the Teacher’s Day. It is very important for all of us to know about the legendary Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. He was a great Teacher, Philosopher, Scholar and a very renowned Diplomat. He has even served India as the first Vice President and the second President of the nation. He was born on 5th September 1888 and in order to pay honor to his great persona, his birthday is celebrated as the national Teacher’s Day across the country.

I am thankful to the students across the nation for recognizing his contribution to the Education System of India through this day. I strongly believe that the students are the pillars of our nation and they must follow what Dr. Radhakrishnan said and believed.

I am also glad to see that the students of our school give high respect to the teachers and listen everything what we say to them. We want our students to be par excellence and bring great name and fame to our school through their hard work. At the same time, we don’t want to put pressure on our students. They must maintain a balance between study and play and this can only be possible if they participate in extracurricular activities such as Sports, Arts, Music, Drama, etc.

Our school is a newly established but we take all the efforts to bring it on a national level where students enjoy coming and learning here.

It also gives me immense pleasure to announce that we are launching a ‘Dance Academy’ within our school’s premise for the interested students. It is affiliated with one of the renowned dance schools and will teach all types of contemporary and traditional dance forms. Interested students can get all the relevant information from the administration and pursue their hobby.

I will rest my speech now, please enjoy your day.

Thank You!
