Professor Leszek Sibilski was the first one to explore more on the topic of bicycle and bicycle riding. This small initiative and exploration soon led his efforts to get recognized and supported by the Sustainable Mobility and to honour the same. Soon the World Bicycle Day came to existence. June 3rd was established as the World Bicycle Day by the General Assembly.

It was a three-year process from procuring the idea until its implementation on the floor of the UNGA Hall. The Professor introduced those ideas; each student supported the projects in various methods. Passion, perseverance, and relentlessness were the critical factors behind all his endeavors. The diplomats’ hard work paid off.
