I am so thankful to have a father who has shown me what unconditional love is. And my mom on the other hand never holds back on splurging for the travel trip we take every year around my birthday week. You are the best mother and an even better travel partner.
I love you both so much and I know I will always be indebted to you in this life how much ever I do for you. However, today I don’t want any gifts, because you both are the best gifts that life gave me and I feel so lucky so I want to promise you to do well in my studies and every activity I take up and make you proud. You have always supported all my whims and fancies and your support means the world to me. It’s my turn to start working and earning and give you the life you want and deserve.
The other pillars of strength in my life are my friends, some since childhood when we fought for cotton candies and few I am lucky enough to have found in my high school life. It’s surreal how the phases of friendship change, earlier our conversations were about clothes and phones and now it’s about career and college plans.
Through all the tough times and every peak and valley, my friends have stood by my side like a rock. You guys are the worst at giving gifts but I will let that slide today. I don’t think my childhood and school life would be this fun and crazy without you guys in it.
I also want to thank the universe or that power which is bigger than all of us for giving me this beautiful 18 years while I am aware not many get to celebrate like this with their loved ones or lead the life I do, and I wish to live longer and healthier to see what lies ahead and fulfil all my dreams.
