India is a country which is famous worldwide for its culture, its traditions, its brilliant music, its different dance forms and, of course, its great historical monuments.
Different regions of India have different traditions, different dance forms, different types of music interests and the culture of all these regions is also different. All this makes a great Indian heritage that every foreigner wants to see in India. In addition to the culture, traditions and dance forms of India, India is the most famous for the historical monuments the country has.
India currently has 37 heritage sites featured in UNESCO, and it is ranked at no. 6 in the list of the most number of heritage sites in any country.

- Taj Mahal – At #1 is the world famous Taj Mahal which is situated in the state of Uttar Pradesh in India. The site is currently one of the seven wonders of the world, and thousands of people gather daily to have a look at this marvelous creation built in the 17th century.
- Qutub Minar – This magnificent monument was erected in the late 12th century during the Mughal dynasty, and it is situated in Delhi. Qutub Minar is a 238 ft. high tower, surrounded by various ancient pillars and other monuments which make it one of the best places to visit in India.
- Mountain Railways – Indian Railways have given multiple benefits to travelers who are in love with the mountains as they have spread their rail lines in various places surrounded by mountains. These offer a marvelous view to passengers. Some examples of mountain railways are Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, Nilgiri Mountain Railway, and Kalka-Shimla Railway. All three of these railways were established between the 19th and 20th century.
- Khajuraho Group of Monuments – When people want to see various ancient buildings or monuments in a single place, these monuments serve as the best getaway. These monuments were attributed to the Chandela dynasty and house various Hindu and Jain religious sculptures and buildings.
- Kaziranga – This 20th-century national park is the home to various mammals and other species which are not found in any other part of the world, especially the one-horned rhinoceros. The place was declared a national park in 1974, and since then, it is visited by lots of people daily.
All in all, the Indian heritage is loved by all due to its variations in food, climate, culture, and traditions in various regions. This is why a lot of foreigners like to visit India every year.
