Petroleum is one of the most used fossil fuels in the world it is a yellowish liquid which people use in their vehicles by which the vehicles get the ignition to travel around the world.
The amount of petroleum around the world is getting decreased day by day and still human beings aren’t aware of the fact that if one of this best fossil fuels isn’t available in the world, our future generation would be missing a lot in their lives.
There are a lot of ways by which petroleum conservation can get done and can save a lot of other fossil fuels and here are some of those ways:
Stop idling – A lot of people keep their vehicles on idle which is the biggest way to consume energy and if someone wants to consume lots of petroleum, they need to stop long idling. People in India especially when stuck in traffic keep their vehicles on even when they are standing idle. So, when they are idle, people should turn off their vehicles and save energy.
Remove excess weight – Many people accommodate more persons on their vehicles than the company suggests. For example, In some cities, a lot of people accommodate three people on a motorbike however the suggested accommodation by the company is two (2). When we put excessive weight on a vehicle, the mileage of the vehicle gets reduced due to which it consumes more petroleum and energy. So, if someone wants to conserve petroleum, one should stop putting excess weight on their vehicles.
Correct tire pressure – It gets noticed that people around the world don’t have anything to do with the correct amount of pressure in their vehicle tires. But they need to know that the amount of pressure in their tires also determine the mileage of the vehicle. If the pressure of the vehicle doesn’t get set to a correct rate, then the vehicle will consume a lot of energy and petroleum. So, if someone wants to conserve petroleum, he should fix a correct amount of pressure in his vehicle tires.
Follow the speed limits – If the specified speed limits get followed then the average of the vehicles can get increased ten times as researched by lots of organizations. Overspeeding should never get done and one should also not drive their vehicles at a very slow speed. If conservation of petroleum is your motive, then you should drive at an average speed which in India is around 40 to 50 Km/h.
Use air conditions only when needed –A lot of people use their vehicle’s air conditioners most of the times even at the times when it is not required. AC consumes a lot of petroleum and energy and that is why people suggest to turn off AC when it is not in use. So, just in case if you want to conserve petroleum, just turn off the AC at various instances when you feel it shouldn’t get used.
Try to use public transports – It gets noticed that a lot of people use their personal cars and vehicles to travel to their job points. However, if public transport gets used then a lot of petroleum can get saved from around the country. Though the crowd in public transports would get an increase, but in this way at least a lot of energy can get saved.
