Friendship is one of life’s greatest blessings, which not everyone experiences. The journey of life brings us in contact with a great deal of people, but it is only a few who leave an impression on us. One of the people who has impacted my life positively is my best friend. Our friendship has been developing for quite some time, and we have been a part of each other’s lives for a long time. She has been with me through all the thicks and thins. Our Friendship
My best friend and I formed our friendship when he joined our class as a new student. Both of us were hesitant to talk to each other at first, but gradually we became friends. The first time my best friend tried to talk to me, I rolled my eyes because I thought there was no point in talking and we wouldn’t get along. By the end of the semester, we became best friends, much to my surprise.
We discovered we had similar tastes in music and fashion and learned a lot about each other. From then on, nothing could stop us. The class was abuzz about our friendship as we spent all our time together. In addition to helping each other with our studies, we used to visit each other’s homes as well. We used to have lunch together every Sunday. We also watched cartoons and movies together.
We even went to summer camp together during our summer break and made some wonderful memories. She also took me to my maternal grandparents’ house once during the summer holidays. The experience was wonderful. Furthermore, we invented our own handshake that only we knew. During this relationship, I learned that family doesn’t end with blood, because my best friend was no less than my family. In contrast to other relationships, friendship is something you choose for yourself.
Qualities of My Best Friend
A large part of the reason why I formed such a close relationship with my best friend has to do with the qualities she possesses. I was always inspired by her courage to speak out against injustice as she always stood up to her bullies. In addition, she is one of the smartest minds in the class and excels not only academically but also in life. The awards my best friend has won illustrate her talent. I have never seen a dancer as talented as my best friend.
My favorite quality about her is her compassion above all else. Whether it’s towards humans or animals, she always keeps the same approach. When my best friend saw an injured stray dog wailing in pain, she not only got him treated but she also adopted him.
She also saw a poor old woman on the streets with only enough money for lunch one day. My best friend gave it all to the poor lady without a second thought. This incident made me respect her even more and encouraged me to help the underprivileged more often.
My best friend and I share a special bond that is one of my most treasured possessions. Each of us inspires the other to become a better person. We challenge each other to do our best and we are always there for each other. It is a precious gem to find a best friend in life, and I feel fortunate to have found that gem.
